LAPD Officer Alexis Cabrera was hazed. She and other SWAT recruits or at least female ones had found their lockers filled with tampons and it’s amazing how anyone thought they could get away with that in this day and age. Yet, Cabrera wasn’t the one to make a complaint. The only reason Deac found out about it is that he heard it through the grapevine. He then got angry. He made sure the guys responsible cleaned up the mess and most of the women targeted never even knew what occurred. It was just Cabrera that knew. Chris also found out about it by witnessing the men cleaning up the tampons and so she promised herself that she would talk to Cabrera at the end of her shift.

What no one counted on was that a cyberattack would first happen. Hondo and his team were out on a call responding officers in trouble when they lost connection with Command and they had to rely on their old ways to get out of a tough spot. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get the bad guys because someone warned them to make a run for it. The same person that warned the gang was the person behind the cyberattack. Also known as Shadowbox. It was his screen name. He was selling information to the bad guys and he could be jeopardizing undercover officers. Commander Hicks ultimately decided to take SWAT offline.

They were going to do everything by hand. Only the thing about that is the fact it’s so much harder. They had to rely on eyes and hands and that didn’t always work out. Chris took time from the cyberattack case to check in with Cabrera. Cabrera said she was fine. She also said she doesn’t want to talk about it. She just wants to be left alone. The hazing thing with her had brought back memories for everyone. Tan remembered when someone left him a dim sum in his chair once. Chris remembered when they took her clothes while she was in the shower and how she had to walk back naked. And Street remembered doing that exact same thing to someone else.

Street said he realizes now how horrible that had been. He would never do something like that again or in the future and so Chris asked if he ever apologized to the officer he hazed. He hadn’t. Only he plans on fixing that soon. The hazing thing aside, the hack had everyone pushing themselves to their absolute limit. They had to rescue an undercover cop whose cover was blown. He was being tortured when they found him. They had to call for an ambulance while they arrested the men that did that to him. The team was so busy solving fires that the cyberattack created that it shouldn’t have had the time for much yet they manage to squeeze out a few minutes here and there.

Street got into contact with the woman he hazed. He asked to meet up with her and she agreed to it. Chris spoke to Cabrera again. Cabrera apologized for being so brusque earlier. She was afraid of looking weak. Which Chris understood. Chris kept her head down after she was hazed. She came in with top scores and afterward she shunned other women in the department because she want to appear as if she was forming a girl squad. Chris has since learned that having girlfriends won’t make her appear weak. And even if it does, Chris no longer cares because she’s gotten to meet incredible men and women on the job and she once mentored a woman new to the program who became a trusted friend.

Chris told Cabrera that she’s got her back. The same went for the rest of the team because none of them planned on letting a fellow officer down and that’s what they did with the job as well. They located every undercover agent in the field. They also got a hold of the hacker. The hacker was kidnapped right in front of everyone. He apparently agreed to sell information on where a gang could find the main witness in the trial against the boss, but the gang kidnapped the hacker to help them against the security team only it got back to SWAT and so the team was able to stop an undercover cop from being killed right before she testified.

Street also sought out the officer he hazed back in the day and he had to go to her because she quit the police force after years of sexual harassment. But seeing her situation, convinced Street that he can no longer be one of the guys that see it and says nothing.

Deac has begun ministering at a prison and he ran into a man he arrested, but who claims he’s innocent.
