Triple H Trends On Social Media As WWE Releases A Dozen NXT Stars
WWE handed down a ton of releases from NXT last night, and the news broke during SmackDown. WWE fans still took notice in a big way, and they’re not happy.
Fans raged on social media following the news of those recent releases. Bronson Reed, Bobby Fish, Leon Ruff, Tyler Rust, Jake Atlas, Mercedes Martinez, Asher Hale, Giant Zanjeer, Zechariah Smith, Kona Reeves, Ari Sterling, Desmond Troy, and referee Stephon Smith lost their jobs. More NXT cuts could be on the way.
It was reported that WWE axed so many NXT Superstars because they are repackaging the brand. This will come with younger talent and a new look. NXT is Triple H’s baby, and fans know this as well. The Game’s name trended in a huge way overnight because of this.
Fans are not happy about this situation and they can only imagine that Triple H isn’t thrilled as well. “I feel bad for Triple H and NXT man, this ain’t right,” one fan tweeted out.
WWE President Nick Khan also took grief from fans, but he really doesn’t care. It was previously reported that he doesn’t mind being bad guy in the situation. “Nick Kahn releasing Triple H’s guys, I won’t be surprised if his actions and Vince’s drive him so insane, this eventually happens, purely out of spite,” another fan responded to the controversy.
“Triple H spent 7 years building NXT the ground up and make it to what it is today, only for it to be sabotaged by Vince’s corporate stooges. It makes NO sense to release over 50+ wrestlers with the reason being “budget cuts”. They lost some great talent in those men and women,” another fan tweeted out.
It seems that fans are not happy at all, but they might need to strap in. Word is that WWE isn’t done cleaning house in the black and gold brand yet.
